I had a lot of inquires from many people. I will explain about "working period points"
Starting in 2020, you will have additional points as long as you are currently working for the same company.
For example, if you have worked for two years at the present company, you can get an additional 2 points.
if you have worked for 8 years as sincere worker, you can get 8 points.
Worker G first came to Korea and worked at company A. three years later, company A was shut down and moved to company B.
Worker G worked for one year and ten months at Company B, then came back as a sincere employee and worked two years and two months.
So this worker has been in Korea for a total of seven years
and G has been working at Company B for four years now.
How many points can this worker get?
As checking with immigration office, G will get only 4 points.
G Worker feels unfair. I think the G worker would be unhappy because the company had to close down and G had to move.
GMK has suggested to immigration office that 7 points should be recognized in this case
But it looks difficult. it is not easy because immigration office had to change the system.
Anyway today's conclusion is that the employee's score is unconditionally recognized only for the current working company.
GMK is going to continuously recommend changes to the system.
